Thui Zom Route-Specific Logistics
The Thui Zom Expedition follows the general route:
Islamabad → Northern Pakistan → Thui Zom Approach → Thui Zom Base Camp → Higher Camps → Thui I Summit → Base Camp → Approach Valley → Islamabad
From Islamabad, the team travels toward the northern mountain region and continues to the remote approach area for Thui Zom. From there, the team follows mountain trails through remote valleys toward Thui Zom Base Camp.
After acclimatization, climbers move to higher camps and prepare for the summit using appropriate technical climbing equipment including crampons, ice axes, climbing ropes, harnesses, helmets, and other specialized equipment where required.
The 6,660m summit attempt depends on weather, route conditions, snow, ice, acclimatization, and the physical condition of the climbing team. After the summit attempt, the team descends to Base Camp and returns through the approach valley before continuing the journey back to Islamabad.
