The journey begins in Islamabad with expedition preparation, briefing, and final equipment checks before the team travels toward Skardu, the main gateway to many high-altitude trekking routes in Gilgit-Baltistan.

From Skardu, the expedition continues toward the Hushe Valley. The trekking section gradually enters the high mountain environment and approaches the Gondogoro Glacier and Gondogoro La Pass.

After crossing Gondogoro La under suitable mountain conditions, the route continues toward the Baltoro Glacier and Concordia. Concordia is one of the most spectacular mountain junctions in the Karakoram and provides views toward several famous peaks.

From Concordia, the trek continues toward K2 Base Camp. After spending time in the K2 Base Camp region, the team retraces part of the Baltoro route toward Askole before entering the Biafo Glacier system.
